Five years of sobriety is a massive achievement. Half a decade. As of this writing, I'm a year and some change away from my 5th year and am really looking forward to it.

It makes me think of a quote about sober birthdays. “Sober birthdays are important to me now. They're not about giving you a thumbs-up for being a good human. You don’t get extra credit for doing your homework, but to me, it’s more of a celebration acknowledging that we are capable of overcoming problems.”

Celebrating your sobriety milestones is important. It keeps you motivated. It keeps you humble. And I hope this coin helps you or a loved one continue on the path towards long-term, permanent freedom from alcohol.
